About Truffle Witch

Handmade with a little magic!

All The World Loves Chocolate

Our love affair with chocolate has a 4,000 year history. Ancient civilisations consumed it as a drink, often flavoured with vanilla, chilli and honey, and valued it for it’s invigorating and mood enhancing effects - and it’s aphrodisiac properties. The Mayans worshipped the god of cocoa and reserved chocolate for the elite of their societies and for sacred rituals. Truly the nectar of the gods.

Chocolate still holds magic. The warm rich, smell, the smooth texture and intense taste as it melts on your tongue, the crisp snap of tempered chocolate, the glossy beauty of a ganache. Good chocolate stimulates, satisfies and enriches. A decadent, sensuous pleasure.

How We Started

My life long joy of consuming all things chocolate eventually led to having a go at making my own hand rolled truffles. My very first were some Christmas pudding truffles, made using left over Christmas pudding and following a recipe from a very famous TV chef. The less said about how they tasted, the better! The positive outcome was that it encouraged me to experiment with flavours and ingredients, and to do some professional training. An accidental chocolatier was born and Truffle Witch was established in late 2016.

Handmade with a Little Magic

All our products really are made by hand - we don’t even use a chocolate tempering machine! We only keep small amounts of stock so, most products are made to order. We love bespoke orders so, if you can’t find what you’re looking for, why not drop us a line? If we can make it for you, we will!

Which Witch?

A confession - I’m not really a witch. Well, not a bad one, anyway. I do love dressing up so, you may find me spookily attired at appropriate events! I am a Reiki Master - only good vibes here. All my creations are hand made with a passion for chocolate, positive energy and lots of love.

The Here And Now

Initially offering just hand rolled artisan truffles and traditionally made fudge, the Truffle Witch range has expanded to include uniquely hand decorated chocolate shoes, caramels and nougat, filled chocolates and bars, and much more - including a vegan range. There are currently thirty-two flavours on our truffle menu, plus seasonal flavours. We also offer bespoke wedding favours, corporate gifts and truffle making workshop (see our services page for details). Truffle Witch can also be found at live events during the Autumn and Winter at locations in East and West Sussex and Surrey.

About Allergens…

Some changes to food labelling have recently been introduced so we thought it was a good time to brush up on our allergen training.

You will find allergens highlighted on our ingredients label in bold. Some of our ingredients are produced in the same environment as foods containing allergens although the allergen itself may not be an ingredient in the product. Where this is the case, we always state this on our labels.

All our products are created in the same kitchen. We are vigilant in minimising cross-contamination but, it may occur. For your safety, please be aware that all our products may contain traces of nuts and/or peanuts.
